Summary: 
The Grants Administrator under the direction of the Chief Philanthropy Officer is responsible for assisting with the execution of the Agency’s grant writing, monitoring, and reporting strategies with an equal emphasis on government grant writing as well as private funding solicitation.  The position assists in cultivating and maintaining donor relationships, overseeing and coordinating the collection of data reporting, grant deadline submissions and operates as a liaison between the agency and our grants vendor agencies and portals. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide internal support/ liaison for Executive level required details needed for grant proposals.
  • Write and draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Monitoring and maintaining funder reporting schedules and requirements.
  • Understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization.
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders as needed
  • Research, identify, develop and respond to public and private grant opportunities in areas relating to all services Save the Family and ARM of Save the Family provide to the homeless and working families and their children.
  • Communicate with organization leadership to confirm that they are interested in collaborating with the foundation or company offering the grant.
  • Maintaining library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, IRS forms, Board/staff diversity lists, etc.
  • Assembling all necessary supporting materials and documents including budget reports, outcome measurements, success stories, etc.; submit reports to funders with leadership approval.
  • Assure the achievement of grant goals as set forth in the annual fundraising plan.
  • Executing thank you letters and facilitating grant contracts/agreements with leadership.
  • Ensuring acknowledgment of funders/investors via website, e-newsletter, and social media.
  • Cultivate grantor relationships.
  • Coordinate grant opportunities with program department leadership.
  • Supporting member of the development team, must participate in all things fundraising including (Gala, volunteer coordination, donation collection support, create, log and mail acknowledgement and thank you letters, etc.,)
  • Adhere to all behavioral General Competencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in grant writing, including government grants with a proven track record of successful solicitation.
  • The is a required in office position.   
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in grammar and spelling.
  • Familiar with donor tracking and system grant portals such as GrantHub or Instrumentl, and HMIS database.
  • Experience in nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence, treat everyone with dignity, celebrate the diversity of our community, and be inclusive of all people in our community.
  • Be able to proficiently read and write the English language.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Eligible to work in the United States of America.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
